Once you receive a welcome e-mail containing information about your test or production (live) EFSnet account, you are ready to start processing transactions through EFSnet.
EFSnet can be used by a wide variety of custom and third-party software applications,
Web-hosted solutions, and hardware terminals. These applications connecting to EFSnet may differ dramatically in appearance and functionality, but they all share common setup requirements.
-
All EFSnet-certified applications provide a way to enter EFSnet transaction credentials (StoreID and StoreKey), so transactions can be properly associated with your merchant account.
-
All EFSnet-certified applications are either pre-configured or have an area to type the Internet address (URL) of the appropriate EFSnet interface (CGI, XML, or SOAP) for the EFSnet test or production environment.
If you are setting up an application to test or use EFSnet, you must enter your unique transaction credentials and the EFSnet URL. Since EFSnet is available in either a test or a live environment, it is important to understand that an application must be configured for use with only one of those environments at a time. Using credentials intended for one environment will not work in the other (e.g., test StoreID and StoreKey values do not work in the live environment).
Transaction credentials can be obtained from the EFSnet Merchant Services Web site, a secure, password-protected, administration area for managing your transactions. Using the login information provided in your welcome e-mail, log in to Merchant Services, and click Credentials on the Welcome tab, to obtain your StoreID and StoreKey.
Once you have retrieved your test or live EFSnet credentials, you can configure your application to test or use EFSnet. For specific information about configuring EFSnet, click one of the following links:
