First Data is migrating the EFSnet transaction processing services to a new system called the Secure Transport platform. This new integration is intended to meet our customers growing needs while streamlining First Data's Internet transaction processing services into a low cost and stable solution.

Since most of the current EFSnet services and transaction methods will continue to be supported on Secure Transport, most merchants will not realize any impact by this platform migration.  A few of the lesser used EFSnet services such as programmatic query of transaction history will be retired which may require merchants to adapt to an alternative (Web based) solution. If you are using any of the discontinued methods you will need to become aware of the available alternatives so that you can avoid any impact when the EFSnet migration occurs. 

On August 25, 2009 (one week prior to EFSnet platform shutdown) - all transactions posted to current EFSnet URLs will be handled by the new Secure Transport platform. This change will be transparent to merchants and thus require no local configuration changes. However, to ensure that there are no surprise issues, we strongly recommend that merchants and/or solution providers participate in either our Native or Passthrough CTE (Customer Test Environment) URL migration activity which will allow testing and control of the migration to our new Secure Transport emulation Gateway.
