EFSnet platform scheduled for 2009 Shutdown
First Data is planning to withdraw support for the
EFSNet platform on March 31, 2009. Our goal is to minimize the impact to your
business and provide you superior solutions. There are several
migration options available depending on how you have coded to the EFSnet
platform. In many cases, you may have more than one integration
alternative; we have included information on each option to help you
decide which may be best suited for your needs. The
information on this site is intended to help you to determine your
migration options, availability and key characteristics of each, and where
to go for more information.

If you have coded to EFSnet in this way…

Native
mode to Buypass/Atlanta platform, and EFSnet maintains transaction data
|
The
updated migration solution for EFSnet native mode is to emulate EFSnet native
mode functions/messages using a Secure Transport based EFSnet native mode
emulator. An easy to use virtual terminal will be available for voids,
reversals and credits only.
Several
EFSnet Native Web methods will be obsolete and are identified here.
To migrate
to this solution, all that is required of you, the third-party application
provider, is to update the transaction URL within your client’s application
from https://efsnet.concordebiz.com/efsnet.dll
to a new URL that will be provided in the first quarter of 2009.
Since your
application will access a replacement transaction URL, site specific network
firewall rules may need to be updated to satisfy this change.
The EFSnet
native Web services and message content will remain unchanged and emulated on
the Secure Transport/Buypass platforms.
